Using Yoga as a Tool to Help Kids with Special Needs with Sasha Walsh

On this episode of Balance Your Life, I am chatting with Sasha Walsh. Sasha is an accessible yoga teacher working with children with Autism, ADHD and other special needs. Sasha was born with a rare genetic disorder EDS, and used yoga as a form of coping with her hypermobility, her pregnancy, and every day life. When her son was welcomed into the world, they discovered he fell on the Autism spectrum and Sasha made her duty to offer him, all children on the spectrum and their care givers the tools of yoga to help them cope with anxiety and overwhelm. Since then Sasha has gone on to offer accessible yoga teacher trainings in the hopes of inspiring more people to offer these trainings to children. On this episode we discuss her own personal yoga journey and what lead her to the mat, how yoga has helped her as a mother, what she has discovered since offering yoga to children with special needs and how it has helped them, the power of the breath, and so much more!
