This week on Balance Your Life I am joined by Dr. Leigha Saunders is a naturopathic doctor and the owner and founder of Uxbridge, Ontario’s premiere wellness clinic, True Roots Healthcare. She maintains a private practice with a special interest in helping busy women gain energy, balance their mood, regulate hormones and sleep deep. Dr. Leigha is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and holds general, intravenous & injection nutrient therapy as well as bioidentical & thyroid hormone prescribing certification with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Leigha believes that when you have your health, you have everything. On this episode we talk about how lack of sleep can lead to infection, diabetes, cancer, heart attacks, strokes, and weight loss struggles. We discuss the correlation between Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia, low libido, chronic migraines and the consumption of caffeine with lack of sleep.
